Our goal when we went to France last year was to find that rare beast; a Bordeaux that tasted like one of the “big boy” classed growths but without the stratospheric price. As we walked the halls at the VinExpo show we asked everyone we came across where such a wine could be found. We tasted lots of wines, but none were what we were looking for.
