Pinot Grigio sells. A lot. But while Pinot Grigio is rarely bad, it’s usually not exciting either. It’s sort of like tofu, where it tends to take on the characteristics of what it’s being consumed with. A blank canvas if you will. If you want to fill that canvas with color, head north. North into Trentino, where the Dolomite Alps spill down from Austria and Germany towards the Po valley running between Milan and Verona. For up in the majestic hillsides where warm days give way to cool nights great Pinot Grigio grapes are grown. This is where Terrazze della Luna comes from. Careful selection of grapes and gentle handling at the winery produces a fresh, character-driven wine; bright fruit and floral flavors come out of the glass and dance around the palate. After swallowing, the overall impression is more; more flavors that expected, more satisfying with food, and most importantly, you want more.
