STEW LEONARD'S WINES WELCOMES BEATRICE LANDINI OF VITICCIO ESTATE IN ITALY
Third Generation Winemaker to Sample Family's Award-Winning Wines

WHAT: Beatrice Landini of the famed Viticcio estate in Italy will visit Stew Leonard's Wines in Yonkers and Farmingdale, N.Y. on Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20 to sample a selection of her family's award winning wines, including:
- 2006 Viticcio Chianti Classico Riserva (93pts Wine Spectator)
- 2006 Viticcio "Prunaio:" 100% Sangiovese (93pts Wine Spectator)
- 2007 Viticcio "Bere:" Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot (90pts Wine Spectator)
Ms. Landini will also offer customers a taste of BLBL, her first Super Tuscan varietal blended with Stew Leonard, Jr.'s daughter Blake Leonard. Distinguishingly named after their corresponding initials, BLBL introduces this unique fusion of wine blended with multiple grapes, including Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

WHO:
Beatrice Landini is a third generation member of proprietorship at the 135 acre Viticcio estate in Italy, where she spent her youth. Following high school, Beatrice spent a year at the prestigious University of Bordeaux studying the art of winemaking which naturally led to an apprenticeship at Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere in the Graves region. Returning to Viticcio, she enrolled at the University of Florence's winemaker program that encompasses all facets of the wine trade, which she will complete this year. Throughout her studies, Beatrice has been integrally involved in the winemaking, blending and ageing processes for many of the wines at both estates.
