MEET "FRANKIE NO" AND BE ONE OF THE FIRST IN CONNECTICUT TO TASTE THE EXCLUSIVE WINES SERVED AT THE LEGENDARY RAO'S

Stew Leonard's Wines of Norwalk Welcomes Frank Pellegrino, Owner of Rao's Restaurant, for a Wine Tasting and Cookbook Signing

WHAT:
If you can't get a reservation at Rao's, now you can at least drink the wine that's served there. Stew Leonard's Wines of Norwalk is the first wine store in Connecticut to offer the new Rao's wines – a line of Napa Valley Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon – previously only available at Rao's restaurants in East Harlem and Las Vegas.

To launch the Rao's wine collection, Frank Pellegrino, known as "rankie No" because he constantly has to turn away patrons who want to eat at his family's legendary restaurant, will be on hand to sign bottles of his Rao's wines as well as copies of Rao's Cookbook: Over 100 Years of Italian Home Cooking, all of which are being offered at special prices this day only:

Regular Price Special Price
Rao's 2007 Napa Valley Chardonnay $27.99 $23.99
Rao's 2006 Napa Valley Merlot $39.99 $35.99
Rao's 2006 California Cabernet Sauvignon $44.99 $39.99
Rao's Cookbook $40.00 $24.99

And you never know. If you get on Frank's good side, perhaps he can find a reservation time for you.

WHO:
Frank Pellegrino is co-owner of the legendary Rao's in East Harlem, New York, which opened in 1896. The restaurant is famous for being impossible to get into, since there are a mere 10 tables that are booked months in advance by regulars and celebrity clientele. Frank began working at the family restaurant in 1973 and has since authored two cookbooks as well as founded Rao's Specialty Foods, Inc., which sells premium pastas, sauces, olive oils, marinades and dressings. A second restaurant location was opened at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas in 2007. In his spare time, Frank is also an actor and singer. His acclaimed roles include playing an FBI agent on HBO’s popular series, The Sopranos, as well as parts in Martin Scorcese's Goodfellas and Woody Allen's Manhattan Murder Mystery.
