WHAT:
Stew Leonard's Wines of Norwalk is hosting a bottle signing and wine sampling event with acclaimed actress, book author, and now wine entrepreneur Lorraine Bracco. Lorraine will be signing bottles from her signature wine series, Bracco Wines, including:
Thanksgiving Food-Pairing Wines:
Pinot Grigio delle Venezie: Handpicked from selected vineyards in northeastern Italy, these grapes produce a wine for enjoying with fruit and poultry dishes, as well as an aperitif.
Montepulciano: Picked from selected vineyards in the provinces of Chieti and Teramo that are between 10 and 20 years old, this soft and elegant well-balanced wine pairs well with a variety of Thanksgiving dishes.
Primitivo: Produced from Old Vine grapes that were handpicked during the second harvest in Puglia, this zinfandel wine goes great with your Thanksgiving meal. The wine's rich, lush berry flavors with a touch of spice pair well with cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes, as well as a roast turkey.
Holiday Celebration Wines:
Chianti Classico: Personally-selected by Lorraine to be the flagship of the Bracco Wines collection, this single-vineyard Chianti has depth, structure, and complexity, making it a perfect companion to red meats and poultry.
Chianti Classico Riserva: Matured for two years in new oak and produced only in exceptional years, this full-bodied wine is one of the finest Italy has to offer and is a great complement to red meats and game.
Barolo: Produced from hand-selected grapes from just three vineyards, this is a special wine that pairs well with holiday fare, including roasts and game.
Brunello di Montalcino: Recognized as one of the world's great red wines, the grapes from the tiny village of Montalcino produce a robust wine with a long life--meant for serving on special occasions.

Best known for her role as psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer Melfi on the HBO hit series The Sopranos, acclaimed actress and author Lorraine Bracco has a new role these days -- as the head of Bracco Wines, which she established in 2005. Lorraine handpicked her selection of signature wines from regions throughout Italy and is excited to share them with wine enthusiasts from around the United States.
